Storage Tips

  1. When packing, be sure to  fill all boxes completely, stuffing all of the box with paper, bubble wrap, etc to prevent the box from collapsing when stacked.
  2. Always store boxes on pallets or use plastic totes.
  3. Cover mattresses
  4. Use protective covers and treat wood surfaces for storing.
  5. Break down large items (like table legs) and store large furniture on end to save space.
  6. Store furniture carefully on boards or pallets.
  7. Do not store perishable items such as food.
  8. Do not store anything combustible (such as paint, chemicals, or gasoline.)
  9. When storing lawn and garden equipment, drain all fluids prior to storage, to avoid damage to the items.
